Programs
Cabell County PreK: This program boosts the love of learning by following The Creative Curriculum provided by the county, as well as child-directed units of study. This program follows the Cabell County Board of Education curriculum guidelines for the State of West Virginia.
Art Experiences through Huntington Museum of Art: A staff member from the Huntington Museum of Art comes to the center weekly to engage the children in an art experience.
Cooking/Gardening Experiences: This program allows for parents and children to become educated in the benefits of healthy foods. Children take part in planting and harvesting the garden, thus seeing the entire from-garden-to-table cycle.
Summer Enrichment Program: Each week we focus on engaging and educational themes to nurture learning and play at the same time. Weekly adventures like swimming, roller skating, hiking, movies, and bowling are part of our enriching interactions outside of the center and provide play and real-life experiences.

We at Children’s PLACE want as easy a transition as possible. Your comfort is our utmost concern. We recommend parents arrange a visit at least two times prior to your child’s start date. The second visit needs to be with your child/children for at least an hour. This gives your child/children the chance to become comfortable with the environment and staff.

"You're school and daycare has been a true blessing for my son and I. We are so pleased with his care. You all have been wonderful with his Type 1 diabetes care. He has learned a lot. I love to hear him spell his name, try to read his books and sing songs that he has learned at your school. We love you all. Awesome staff."
"Before Children’s PLACE, I didn’t realize how much infants and toddlers were capable of, or how early socialization could benefit them. For more than a year, I’ve watched my daughter blossom while attending the center. The activities and routine offered are good for her and me, and the directors and teachers communicate openly to ensure she’s reaching her developmental potential socially, emotionally, physically and verbally. Each morning my child is eager to get to school and, once there, her little friends greet her at the classroom door with big smiles and waves of “hello.” Going to school makes her happy and that makes me happy!"
